This is a full day trip to the town of Melnik situated in the southern part of Bulgaria near the Greek border. The distance from Sofia to Melnik is about 200 km and takes 3,5 to 4 hours depending on the road conditions. Departure is 08:00 in the morning from Sofia. Arrival is expected around 19:00-19:30.

Melnik is the smallest town in Bulgaria, declared Architectural Reserve Museum town and center of red wine industry. Melnik is picturesquely situated between bar cliffs of sandstone, eroded into odd shapes.
Visit to the Kordopoulova House with beautifully decorated walls and ceilings in the rooms and in the main hall. Visit the wine cellar in the ground floor and have a welcome glass of red wine.
